Geograhic Location
Cuba have a privileged position in the
Caribbean Sea and in the Mexico Golf antrance. Cuba archipelago is 110
860 km2 longs and a thousand of cays and islets are included in it.
Flora and Fauna
Tropical weather are plenty of coconut
tree, sugar cane and tropical fruits. Cuban flora is mostly endemic and
consists in different kind of highe plants accounts for 4% of the planet´s
vegetation. National flower is the Mariposa (butterfly) that grows wild
in Cuban countryside. The Tocororo is our national bird because his white,
red and blue plumage reproduces our flag color. The Royal Palm is the
national tree that with its resistance to strong gales represents the
rigid Cuban nature.

Language
Spanish is the official language. But
tourism employees specks English, and by the street is easy to find persons
that knows other languages.
Climate
Subtropical moderate climate. from
November to April runs the dry season and the rainy seasos begins in May
and ends in October. Summer time last almost the whole year.
Methods of Payment
In the country are currency
Cuban convertible peso (CUC) and Cuban
peso. Credit cards are accepted if it is not issued by US Banks. Also
Thomas Cook travel check are accepted.
In some touristic resorts such as Varadero, Cayo Largo del Sur, Jardines
del Rey, Cayo Santa María, Santa Lucia, Holguín and Covarrubias
the Euro are accepted too.
